How Boot Buddies Work

The substance inside the Boot Buddies is a unique chemical combination that rapidly draws moisture into itself. It is the perfect solution to the problem of damp boots. Boot Buddies will draw the moisture from the surrounding boot lining when they are properly inserted. Because Boot Buddies live to absorb moisture, they do it all the time. They are absorbing moisture from the air while they are exposed to it, therefore, they should be stored in an airtight bag between uses.

Boot Buddies have a saturation point, after which, they can absorb no more. If it takes more than 2 hours to dry the boots, Boot Buddies are becoming saturated. Even in this state they will feel dry to the touch. Leaving saturated Boot Buddies in your boots for an extended time(24 hours) could cause mold damage. Boot Buddies will not "Dry out" on their own. They need your help to release the moisture they have absorbed. This process is called regeneration.
